Specialized Digital Historic Resource Survey Tools

Previous surveys have provided APPS with a wealth of experience, and the opportunity to generate historic resource survey tools and procedures that ensure a quality product in full compliance with the requirements of the State of Georgia’s Historic Preservation Division, and the state’s online database, the Georgia Natural, Archaeological, and Historic Resources Geographic Information System (GNAHRGIS).

APPS has developed a set of custom digital tools to streamline the data development process and ensure highly accurate products.  These tools consist of a data input spreadsheet with data validation controls; a custom database using state-prescribed formats; and Geographic Information System datasets to analyze and map survey results.
